The Portuguese PSK Award Series (PTPA) was devised by the European PSK Club on 11th April 2008. This was to sponsor a series of PSK awards based on the administrative geography of Portugal. Any award in this series may be claimed by any licensed radio amateur, club station or SWL eligible under the EPC Awards General Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted/heard amateur radio stations in Portugal on PSK modes. Credit will be given for contacts made on any of the amateur bands below 30 MHz. Contacts with EPC members count on or after 10th June 2006.





PTPA
Portuguese PSK Award

The PTPA Awards may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under the EPC Awards General Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted EPC members from various EU areas (districts) within mainland Portugal by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. The PTPA III Award may be claimed for contacts with 6 EU areas (districts), the PTPA II Award - for contacts with 12 EU areas (districts), and the PTPA I Award - for contacts with all 18 EU areas (districts) of mainland Portugal. Contact with 1 (one) station from Madeira Islands (CT3/CT9) can be used as a «Joker» to replace any 1 (one) missing mainland Portuguese EU Area. Only 1 (one) QSO is allowed with Madeira Islands for whole PTPA Award Series. There is a special requirement to have at least 1 QSO with any station from the the Autonomous Region of Azores (CU1-CU9) for each level of the PTPA Award. Contacted stations from the Azores and Madeira Islands don't need to be members of the EPC.







AZPA
Azores PSK Award

The AZPA Award may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under the EPC Awards General Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted amateur radio stations from all three island groups of the Azores by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. Contacted stations from the Azores don't need to be members of the EPC.

CPLPA
Comunidade dos Países de Lí­ngua Portuguesa PSK Award

The CPLPA Awards may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under the EPC Awards General Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted amateur radio stations from various countries, members of the CPLP (Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa) by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. The CPLPA III Award may be claimed for contacts with 3 countries, the CPLPA II Award - for contacts with 6 countries, and the CPLPA I Award - for contacts with 9 countries. Contacted stations from the CPLP don't need to be members of the EPC.

PECSA
Portuguese EPC Club Stations Award

The PECSA Awards may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under the EPC Awards General Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted Portuguese EPC Club Stations by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. The applicant should make 1 QSO with three Portuguese EPC Club Stations for the PECSA III Award, 1 QSO with three Portuguese EPC Club Stations on any 2 different bands for the PECSA II Award, and 1 QSO with three Portuguese EPC Club Stations on any 3 different bands for the PECSA I Award.







PPXPA
Portuguese Prefixes PSK Award

The PPXPA Awards may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under the EPC Awards General Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted amateur stations from Portugal with various prefixes by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. The PPXPA III Award may be claimed for contacts with 10 different prefixes, the PPXPA II Award - for contacts with 15 different prefixes, and the PPXPA I Award - for contacts with 20 different prefixes. Any special event station from Portugal with an unique prefix can be used as a «Joker» to replace any one missing ordinary prefix. One missing prefix can be replaced for the PPXPA III Award, two prefixes - for the PPXPA II Award, and three prefixes - for for the PPXPA I Award. Contacted Portuguese stations don't need to be members of the EPC to be valid for this award series.

Portuguese Islands PSK Award

The PIPA Award may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under the EPC Awards General Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted amateur radio stations from 5 different IOTA island groups of Portugal by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. Contacted island stations don't need to be members of the EPC. The following Portuguese IOTA Island Groups are valid for this award: AF-014, AF-046, AF-047, EU-003, EU-040, EU-089, EU-145, EU-150, EU-167, and EU-175.
