The African Territories PSK Award (AFTPA) is dedicated to the 20th Anniversary of the European PSK Club (2006–2026) and was devised on 22 March 2026.
The award may be claimed by any licensed radio amateur, club station, or DMS (SWL) eligible under the EPC Awards General Rules who can provide documentary evidence, in the form of an ADIF log, of having contacted or monitored amateur radio stations from African territories included in the official AFTPA territories list.
- The award is open to any licensed radio amateur, club station, or DMS (SWL) who is eligible under the EPC Awards General Rules.
- All claimed contacts or monitored stations must have been made in accordance with the operator’s licensing conditions and the applicable EPC award framework.
- Applicants must submit proof of having contacted or monitored amateur radio stations from African territories listed in the official AFTPA territories list.
- Confirmation must be provided in the form of a valid ADIF log.
- Each confirmed African territory counts once toward the applicable award level.
- Mixed submissions consisting of QSOs and SWL reports are acceptable, provided all entries are properly documented.
- AFTPA 25 is issued for confirmation of 25 African territories.
- AFTPA 50 is issued for confirmation of 50 African territories.
- AFTPA 75 is issued for confirmation of 75 African territories.
- AFTPA 100 is issued for confirmation of 100 African territories.
- Only African territories appearing on the official AFTPA territories list are valid for this award.
- The current reference list is the EPC African Territories List supplied by the programme sponsor.
- Applicants are responsible for ensuring that their claimed entries correspond correctly to the territories recognised under the AFTPA programme.
- Applications should be prepared in accordance with the EPC Awards General Rules and submitted through the recognised EPC award management process.
- The supporting ADIF file must be complete, accurate, and sufficient to verify all claimed territories.
- It is a mandatory requirement that the applicant adds territory references in the COMMENT field of the ADIF file in the format #AFT XX-ZZZ, so that the UltimateAAC Award Management Software can process the log properly.
- The European PSK Club reserves the right to request clarification or additional evidence in case of doubt or discrepancy.
- The interpretation of these rules rests with the award manager and the European PSK Club.
- Any matter not expressly covered by these rules shall be decided in accordance with the EPC Awards General Rules.
- The programme may be expanded in the future should additional award levels or administrative provisions be adopted.
