The European Grids PSK Award (EGPA) honours sustained activity on PSK by recognising confirmed contacts with different Maidenhead grid squares in which European land is represented.
The programme is issued in 10 award levels for confirmed PSK QSOs with 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900 and 1000 different Maidenhead grid squares. For EGPA purposes, only grid squares containing European land are eligible.
Within the Maidenhead Locator System, a grid square measures 1° latitude by 2° longitude and in continental Europe covers approximately 70 to 100 miles, depending on latitude. A qualifying grid square is identified by two letters and two numbers, for example IO75, the grid square in which MMØEPC, the Scottish EPC Club Station, resides.

- EGPA recognises achievement in PSK operation through confirmed contacts with different qualifying Maidenhead grid squares in Europe.
- The programme encourages geographical coverage, careful logging, and long-term activity across the European amateur radio community.
- The programme consists of 10 separate award levels.
- Awards are available for 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900 and 1000 different qualifying grid squares.
- Each higher level may be claimed independently once the required number of different qualifying grid squares has been confirmed.
- A qualifying grid square is a four-character Maidenhead grid square consisting of two letters and two numbers, for example IO75.
- For EGPA, only grid squares in which European land is represented may be counted.
- The award uses the EPC interpretation of Europe as defined in the official EU Areas List. This definition is not identical to DXCC Europe.
- Only confirmed PSK QSOs are valid for this programme.
- All eligible contacts must have been completed in accordance with the amateur radio regulations applicable to both stations at the time of the QSO.
- Mixed bands and mixed PSK variants may be counted unless limited by general EPC award rules.
- Each qualifying Maidenhead grid square counts once only toward an award claim, regardless of how many times it is worked.
- Multiple QSOs with the same grid square do not create additional credit for EGPA.
- The decisive factor is the correctly identified qualifying four-character grid square for the contacted station.
- Only ADIF logs are accepted for EGPA applications.
- Each claimed QSO must contain complete and correct data, including callsign, date, time, band, mode and the relevant four-character Maidenhead locator.
- Applications are accepted only via UltimateAAC Award Management Software.
- European qualification is determined strictly in accordance with the official EPC EU Areas List.
- Where doubt exists, the award manager may request clarification or may reject claims that cannot be satisfactorily verified.
- The applicant is responsible for the accuracy of all locator information submitted.
- Any licensed radio amateur or club station may apply in accordance with the general EPC award rules.
- Final interpretation of these rules and of all qualifying credit rests with the award administration.
