The Japanese Municipalities PSK Award (JMPA) is dedicated to the 10th Anniversary of the European PSK Club. It has been sponsored by Radioarena UK Ltd and devised by the European PSK Club on 28th May, 2016 for two-way PSK contacts with amateur radio stations from different municipalities of Japan. There are four types of municipalities in Japan: cities, towns, villages and special wards of Tokyo. The JMPA series is based on 3 constantly updated lists available online:
In combination of these lists there are 1,719 municipalities in total as per 28th May, 2016.
JMPA 100, JMPA 200, JMPA 300, JMPA 400, JMPA 500, JMPA 600, JMPA 700, JMPA 800, JMPA 900, JMPA 1000, JMPA 1100, JMPA 1200, JMPA 1300, JMPA 1400, JMPA 1500, JMPA 1600, and JMPA 1700 awards may be claimed by any licensed radio amateur, club station or DMS/SWL eligible under the EPC Awards General Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000, 1100, 1200, 1300, 1400, 1500, 1600, and 1700 current (different) municipalities of Japan. Contacted stations don't need to be members of the European PSK Club. This award series has no time or date restrictions.
Please make sure that the «COMMENT» field in your ADIF log contains the contacted station's Area Code, in format of #AREA AA.BB.CC(C) as per the list below (for example ‒ if you made a QSO with a station working from Abiko City, Chiba Prefecture, your ADIF comment field should be #AREA JP.CH.AS). This is a mandatory requirement to make able the manager's software to check your application correctly.
