ITPA - Italian PSK Award Series

The ITPA Awards may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted EPC members from various EU areas (provinces) within mainland Italy by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. The ITPA IX Award may be claimed for contacts with 10 EU areas (provinces), the ITPA VIII Award - for contacts with 20 EU areas (provinces), the ITPA VII Award - for contacts with 30 EU areas (provinces), the ITPA VI Award - for contacts with 40 EU areas (provinces), the ITPA V Award - for contacts with 50 EU areas (provinces), the ITPA IV Award - for contacts with 60 EU areas (provinces), the ITPA III Award - for contacts with 70 EU areas (provinces), the ITPA II Award - for contacts with 80 EU areas (provinces), and the ITPA I Award - for contacts with all 90 EU areas (provinces) of mainland Italy. Contacts with stations from Pantelleria Island (IH9) and Pelagie Islands (IG9) can be used as «Jokers». Each «Joker» can replace any 1 (one) missing mainland Italian EU Area. Only 1 (one) QSO with Pantelleria Island, and 1 (one) QSO with Pelagie Islands is allowed for whole ITPA Award Series. Contacted stations from the Pantelleria and Pelagie Islands don't need to be members of the EPC.

The ITRPA Awards may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted EPC members from various Italian Regions by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. The ITRPA III Award may be claimed for contacts with 10 regions, the ITRPA II Award - for contacts with 15 regions, and the ITRPA I Award - for contacts with all 20 regions of Italy.

Regions of Italy:

The EUTIA Award may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted amateur radio stations from 2 different territories listed in the list below by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. Contacted stations don't need to be members of the EPC.

List of the Italian Enclaves, Exclaves, and Unique Territories:

1A0	Sovereign Military Order of Malta
The Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta (EU Area EC01) is a Roman Catholic order based in Rome, Italy. With its unique history and unusual present circumstances the exact status of the Order has been the subject of debate: it claims to be a traditional example of a sovereign entity other than a state. Its two headquarters in Rome, namely the Palazzo Malta in Via dei Condotti 68 (where the Grand Master resides and Government Bodies meet), and the Villa Malta on the Aventine (which hosts the Grand Priory of Rome, the Embassy of the Order to Holy See and the Embassy of the Order to Italy), are granted extraterritoriality.
HV	State of the Vatican City
The State of the Vatican City (EU Area EC05) is a landlocked sovereign city-state whose territory consists of a walled enclave within the city of Rome. At approximately 44 hectares, and with a population of around 800, it is the smallest independent state in the world by both population and area.
I2	Campione d'Italia (Province of Como)
Campione d'Italia is an Italian comune (municipality) of the Province of Como (EU Area IT15) in the Lombardy region, occupying an enclave within the Swiss canton of Ticino, separated from the rest of Italy by Lake Lugano and mountains. The enclave is less than 1 kilometre as the crow flies from the rest of Italy, but the hilly terrain requires a journey by road of over 14 kilometres to reach the nearest Italian town, Lanzo d'Intelvi, and over 28 kilometres to reach the city of Como.
IA0	Mario Zucchelli Antarctic Station (ex Baia Terra Nova)
Mario Zucchelli Station is an Italian research station located at Terra Nova Bay, Antarctica and named for Mario Zuchelli, late director of the Italian Antarctic Program. This facility is operated during the summer months (October - February) and hosts a variety of scientific projects. Terra Nova Bay is a bay which is often ice free, about 64 km long, lying between Cape Washington and the Drygalski Ice Tongue along the coast of Victoria Land, Antarctica.
IG9	Pelagie Islands (Province of Agrigento)
The Pelagie Islands (IOTA AF-019) are the three small islands of Lampedusa, Linosa, and Lampione, located in the Mediterranean Sea between Malta and Tunisia, south of Sicily. Geographically the archipelago belongs to the African continent; politically and administratively the islands fall within the Sicilian province of Agrigento and represent the southernmost part of Italy.
IH9	Pantelleria Island (Province of Trapani)
The Pantelleria (IOTA AF-018), the ancient Cossyra, is an island in the Strait of Sicily in the Mediterranean Sea, 100 km southwest of Sicily and just 70 km east of the Tunisian coast. Geographically the island belongs to the African continent. Administratively Pantelleria is a commune belonging to the Sicilian province of Trapani.
IM0	Kingdom of Tavolara (Tavolara Island, Province of Olbia-Tempio)
In the 19th and 20th centuries, Tavolara island (IOTA EU-165) off the northeast coast of Sardinia was ruled by the Bertoleoni family as the Kingdom of Tavolara, one of the smallest kingdoms on the planet. It is now simply part of Italy, although it was never formally annexed. The island and the surrounding waters are part of the Tavolara and Punta Coda Cavallo Marine Preserve created in 1997. The environmental protections placed on the park have added restrictions to the use of the area for tourism. Administratively Tavolara is an island belonging to the Sardinian province of Olbia-Tempio (EU Area SD08).
IV3	Province of Trieste (Region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia)
After the end of World War II, the Free Territory of Trieste was established as a free state on September 15, 1947. On October 26, 1954, Italy and Yugoslavia came to an understanding whereby the territory de facto was divided between the two states. Zone A of the free state became the Province of Trieste and Zone B was to be administered by Yugoslavia. The Province of Trieste (EU Area IT88) formally became a part of Italy on October 11, 1977, by the Treaty of Osimo.
T0	Principality of Seborga (Province of Imperia)
Seborga is a small town in the region of Liguria in northwest Italy, near the French border. Administratively, it is a comune of the Italian province of Imperia, although some locals claim that it is an independent principality. Uniquely among micronations, Seborga possesses an undisputed history as a feudal state. There is no tension between the "Principality" of Seborga (EU Area EC07) and the Italian government. Law enforcement, public health, telecommunications, school services and all other public services are provided as in the rest of Italy. There were a few HAM visitors in Seborga since 1994. They used various unofficial prefixes, such as 0S, 1P, T8, and the last one was T0. There are no political things at all, we keep this entity as a separate EU Area just for our amateur fun.
T7	Most Serene Republic of San Marino
The Most Serene Republic of San Marino (EU Area EC06) is a country in the Apennine Mountains. It is a landlocked enclave, completely surrounded by Italy. One of the European microstates, San Marino has the smallest population of all the members of the Council of Europe. San Marino is the oldest sovereign state and constitutional republic in the world, having been founded on 3 September 301 by Marinus of Rab, a Christian stonemason fleeing the religious persecution of Roman Emperor Diocletian. San Marino's constitution of 1600 is the world's oldest constitution still in effect.

The ICESA Awards may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted various Italian special event stations and island DX-peditions by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. The applicant should make 5 QSOs with different special event stations for the ICESA III Award, 10 QSOs for the ICESA II Award, and 15 QSOs for the ICESA I Award. Contacted stations don't need to be members of the EPC. We consider an amateur radio station as the Italian special event station which uses any prefix beginning with letter « I » apart from the following prefixes: I1, I2, I3, I4, I5, I6, I7, I8, I0, IK1, IK2, IK3, IK4, IK5, IK6, IK7, IK8, IK0, IM0, IN3, IQ1, IQ2, IQ3, IQ4, IQ5, IQ6, IQ7, IQ8, IQ9, IQ0, IS0, IT9, IV3, IW1, IW2, IW3, IW4, IW5, IW6, IW7, IW8, IW9, IW0, IX1, IU1, IU2, IU3, IU4, IU5, IU6, IU7, IU8, IU9, IU0, IZ1, IZ2, IZ3, IZ4, IZ5, IZ6, IZ7, IZ8, and IZ0. Contacted stations don't need to be members of the EPC.

The IPXPA Awards may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted amateur stations from Italy with various prefixes by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. The IPXPA III Award may be claimed for contacts with 15 different prefixes, the PPXPA II Award - for contacts with 25 different prefixes, and the PPXPA I Award - for contacts with 35 different prefixes. Any special event station from Italy with an unique prefix can be used as a «Joker» to replace any one missing ordinary prefix. One missing prefix can be replaced for the IPXPA III Award, two prefixes - for the IPXPA II Award, and three prefixes - for for the IPXPA I Award. Contacted Italian stations don't need to be members of the EPC to be valid for this award series.

The ITIPA Award may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted amateur radio stations from different IOTA island groups of Italy by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. Contacted island stations don't need to be members of the EPC. The ITIPA Silver Award may be claimed for contacts with 5 different IOTA island groups, the ITIPA Gold Award - for contacts with 10 different IOTA island groups of Italy. The following Italian IOTA Island Groups are valid for this award: AF-018, AF-019, EU-017, EU-024, EU-025, EU-028, EU-031, EU-041, EU-045, EU-050, EU-051, EU-054, EU-073, EU-083, EU-091, EU-130, EU-131, EU-144, EU-155, EU-165, EU-166.

The SDPA Awards may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted EPC members from various EU areas (provinces) within Region of Sardinia by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. The SDPA III Award may be claimed for contacts with 3 EU areas (provinces), the SDPA II Award - for contacts with 6 EU areas (provinces), and the SDPA I Award - for contacts with all 8 EU areas (provinces) of Sardinia

The SIPA Awards may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence in a form of ADIF log of having contacted EPC members from various EU areas (provinces) within Region of Sicily by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. The SIPA III Award may be claimed for contacts with 3 EU areas (provinces), the SIPA II Award - for contacts with 6 EU areas (provinces), and the SIPA I Award - for contacts with all 9 EU areas (provinces) of Sicily. Contacts with stations from Pantelleria Island (IH9) and Pelagie Islands (IG9) can be used as «Jokers».  Each «Joker» can replace any 1 (one) missing Sicilian EU Area. Only 1 (one) QSO with Pantelleria Island, and 1 (one) QSO with Pelagie Islands is allowed for whole SIPA Award Series. Contacted stations from the Pantelleria and Pelagie Islands don't need to be members of the EPC.

The ARPA Award may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted EPC members from all 4 (four) EU areas (provinces) within the Region of Abruzzo (IT52, IT53, IT56, IT57) by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying.

The AVPA Award may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted 2 (two) amateur radio stations from the Region of Aosta Valley (Prefix IX1, EU Area IT90) by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. Contacted stations from Aosta Valley don't need to be members of the EPC.

The ALPA Awards may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted EPC members from various EU areas (provinces) within Region of Apulia by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. The ALPA II Award may be claimed for contacts with 3 EU areas (provinces), and the ALPA I Award may be claimed for contacts with all 6 EU areas (provinces) of Apulia. EU Areas within the Region of Apulia are IT58, IT59, IT60, IT61, IT63, and IT93.

The BAPA Award may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted EPC members from both EU areas (provinces) of the Region of Basilicata (IT62 and IT73) by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying.

The CAPA Awards may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted EPC members from various EU areas (provinces) within Region of Calabria by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. The CAPA II Award may be claimed for contacts with 3 EU areas (provinces), and the CAPA I Award may be claimed for contacts with all 5 EU areas (provinces) of Calabria. EU Areas within the Region of Calabria are IT68, IT69, IT70, IT74, and IT76.

The CMPA Awards may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted EPC members from various EU areas (provinces) within Region of Campania by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. The CMPA II Award may be claimed for contacts with 3 EU areas (provinces), and the CMPA I Award may be claimed for contacts with all 5 EU areas (provinces) of Campania. EU Areas within the Region of Campania are IT64, IT65, IT67, IT72, and IT75.

The EMRPA Awards may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted EPC members from various EU areas (provinces) within Region of Emilia-Romagna by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. The EMRPA III Award may be claimed for contacts with 3 EU areas (provinces), the EMRPA II Award - for contacts with 6 EU areas (provinces), and the EMRPA I Award - for contacts with all 9 EU areas (provinces) of Emilia-Romagna. EU Areas within the Region of Emilia-Romagna are IT31, IT32, IT33, IT34, IT35, IT36, IT37, IT38, and IT39.

The FVGPA Award may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted EPC members from all 4 (four) EU areas (provinces) within the Region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia (IT86, IT87, IT88, IT89) by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying.

The LAPA Awards may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted EPC members from various EU areas (provinces) within Region of Lazio by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. The LAPA II Award may be claimed for contacts with 3 EU areas (provinces), and the LAPA I Award may be claimed for contacts with all 5 EU areas (provinces) of Lazio. EU Areas within the Region of Lazio are IT77, IT78, IT80, IT81, and IT83.

The LIPA Award may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted EPC members from all 4 (four) EU areas (provinces) within the Region of Liguria (IT05, IT06, IT07, IT09) by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying.

The MAPA Awards may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted EPC members from various EU areas (provinces) within Region of Marche by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. The MAPA II Award may be claimed for contacts with 3 EU areas (provinces), and the MAPA I Award may be claimed for contacts with all 5 EU areas (provinces) of Marche. EU Areas within the Region of Marche are IT50, IT51, IT54, IT55, and IT92.

The MLPA Award may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted EPC members from both EU areas (provinces) of the Region of Molise (IT66 and IT71) by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying.

The PDPA Awards may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted EPC members from various EU areas (provinces) within Region of Piedmont by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. The PDPA III Award may be claimed for contacts with 3 EU areas (provinces), the PDPA II Award - for contacts with 6 EU areas (provinces), and the PDPA I Award - for contacts with all 8 EU areas (provinces) of Piedmont. EU Areas within the Region of Piedmont are IT01, IT02, IT03, IT04, IT08, IT10, IT11, and IT12.

The TAAPA Award may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted EPC members from both EU areas (provinces) of the Region of Trentino-Alto Adige (IT84 and IT85) by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying.

The TUPA Awards may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted EPC members from various EU areas (provinces) within Region of Tuscany by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. The TUPA III Award may be claimed for contacts with 4 EU areas (provinces), the TUPA II Award - for contacts with 7 EU areas (provinces), and the TUPA I Award - for contacts with all 10 EU areas (provinces) of Tuscany. EU Areas within the Region of Tuscany are IT40, IT41, IT42, IT43, IT44, IT45, IT46, IT47, IT48, and IT49.

The UMPA Award may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted EPC members from both EU areas (provinces) of the Region of Umbria (IT79 and IT82) by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying.

The VEPA Awards may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under these Rules who can produce evidence of having contacted EPC members from various EU areas (provinces) within Region of Veneto by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. The VEPA II Award may be claimed for contacts with 4 EU areas (provinces), and the VEPA I Award may be claimed for contacts with all 7 EU areas (provinces) of Veneto. EU Areas within the Region of Veneto are IT24, IT25, IT26, IT27, IT28, IT29, and IT30.
